by Lela
Bing has become aggressive in recent years. With Google dominating the market, they didn’t have any other option as well. They have recently rolled out 3 new features for shopping campaigns. Let’s have a look:
Search term report
Most of the advertisers can agree on one thing – many times, their ads get displayed along with irrelevant search results which cost them money. Sometimes, it was displayed along with controversial things that further damages the image, instead of making an impression. Bing has addressed the advertiser’s concerns and came up with this feature that enables the advertisers to know exactly which search query triggered the ad. This is indeed a master stroke by Bing!
Online inventory update feed
To keep your product information fresh, you can now use product inventory update feed. It will also help you reduce the time and efforts required to keep up with the frequently changing attributes. It will also make the feed management a lot easier since you will be sending updates only for product offers that keeps fluctuating.
Feed download scheduling
With the help of this feature, you can now download the feed automatically, at a time which works best for you. A feature that many advertisers were eagerly waiting for.
We will keep a close eye on these updates and will keep you informed as we notice more changes.
BING INTRODUCES MERCHANT PROMOTIONS TO HELP BUSINESS OWNERS HIGHLIGHT SPECIAL OFFERS
In order to lure more business owners, Bing keeps introducing new features. Latest in the series is Merchant promotions, which until now was in the testing mode. They have rolled it out for all the merchants in the US and one can enjoy this new feature as of today.
The new merchant promotions enable the advertisers to highlight offers in the product ads. The users will see the ads with a special offer extension. If a user clicks on the special offer, it will pop up with an expiration date, link to the product, promotional codes, and description.
You can utilize this new feature by filling out a form. The approval usually takes 3 to 4 business days. After approval, the seller will be able to see the new promotion tab within the Bing Merchant Center account.
It’s a good feature and will come handy to those who come up with special offers, very often. You won’t have to rely on third party websites to highlight your promotional codes, as users can directly know about the current offers on the ad itself!
